Collections:

Three-dimensional objects - including artillery, small craft, uniforms, medals and badges, edged weapons, firearms, flags, communications equipment, models, medical equipment, cameras, toys, currency and ephemera.

Study facilities:

Main Building, Lambeth Road - researchers are seen by appointment Monday-Friday, 10.00am - 5.00pm (prior booking essential as space is very limited). Much material is located at Duxford Airfield in Cambridgeshire and for some collections viewing would take place there. Please telephone before making a special visit.

Firearms Collection: Access for bona fide research only by written application to Head of Exhibits and Firearms. Proof of identity is needed.
Copy material supplied: Black and white photocopies. Special photography may be arranged subject to a facility fee.
Commercial use of Collections: Facility fees are payable for commercial use of the collections. Please contact the Department for details.
Copyright and other Restrictions: Restrictions on the copying of banknotes. British orders, medals, decorations and insignia are Crown copyright. Please note that there may also be some restrictions on photographing items currently held in the Collections which are not the property of the Museum.
